Ward 15- lnhlanganiso ye Nutrition Action Zimbabwe imanyane lengatsha zikaHulumende sebelethe ukujabula lokuthokoza kuzakhamizi zika Ward 15 eMakapakapa, lapho zinanza insuku ezibalisa iWorld Food Day, Hand washing Day and International Day of Rural women.
Inhlanganiso yeNutrition Action Zimbabwe yinhlanganiso iphathisa izigaba ezehlukeneyo elizweni ukuba zithole ukudla okweneleyo njalo okulomsoco.
Omama basukumele phezulu bezobukisa imisebenzi yezandla abayenzayo ukuze baziphilise, lemisebenzi ibalisa ukubumba isitofu somdaka, ukubhaka amabhanzi, ukuthunga izigqoko, ukupheka icobra Kanye lokulima imbhida Kanye lezinye izilimo ezitshiyetshiyetshiyo.
Lokhu kujabulise kakhulu umphakathi njalo inengi lisuke lilolwazi olujulileyo mayelana ngezempilakahle. Benanza lezinsuku omama besigabeni babonise ubuhle bokuxhasana bengabomama, besebenzelana ndawonye njalo babelana ulwazi. Unkosikazi Chipo Ngwenya obengomunye walelihlekana labomama ukhuthaze ukuba omama baphatheke enhlelweni ezenzeka ezigabeni ikakhulu ezivandeni ngoba lokhu kuyabaphathisa ukuthi bengahlaselwa yisimo sendlala esesibhahile elizweni.
“Okusenza siphile njengabomama yikubambisana ndawonye, siphana amacebo okwenza imisebenzi yezandla, sixhasana, silima izilimo ezithile ezilomsoco ikakhulu ekukhuliseni abantwana abancane abamunyiswayo. Siyatshaya lemali ezincani zokuvusana siliqembu ngenkangelelo yelungelo lokuthi umuntu wonke kumele athole ukudla okwakha umzimba lokupha amandla.”
Omele inhlanganiso yeNutrition Action Zimbabwe uNkosikazi Belinda Nganga uthe unanzelele kakhulu ukuthi izifundo abazilethayo kubomama ziletha utshintsho kakhulu ekuphileni kwabomama kanye langendlela abakhulisa ngayo abantwana babo.
“Ngilokuthokoza okukhulu ngabomama ngenxa yokusebenza kwabo ndawonye bengqondonye ukuze baziphakamise, bathole ukudla okulomsoco njalo okweneleyo. Kuyajabulisa njalo ukuba bayayenza njalo oqogelela abahlalanga phezu kwezandla. Okunye okungithokozisayo yikuthi bathi esigabeni akulamntwana otholakala elesisindo esingaphansi (underweight) ngenxa yolwazi lokusebenzelana ndawonye bengabomama labezempilakahle”.
Linhlanganiso ibixhaswe nguSikomitshi weGwanda uNomathemba Ndlovu yena oncome kakhulu ulwazi lemisebenzi eyenziwa ngabomama ukuze bazinakekele lemuli.
“Kuyinto enhle ukubona omama bemanyene njalo bexhasana ngokusebenza ndawonye betshengisa intuthuko esigabeni okuyikho okusiphakamisayo njalo kuthuthukisa isiqinti sakithi ngengabomama abazimbokodo. Njengabomama asiqhubekeni sixhasana sikuthathe ukuthi udubo lomunye umama ngolwethu njalo kube ngumlandu wethu sonke ukuthi omunye lomunye wethu uthola ukudla okweneleyo njalo okwakhayo. Lanoma lizibiza ngokuthi lizimbokodo kodwa lingavumeli ukuhlukuluzwa ikakhulu ngabo baba” kutsho unkosikazi Ndlovu.
UKhansila wesigaba uEmmanuel Makhabane Ndlovu ubonge kakhulu ukuqhutshwa kalezinhlelo eziphakamisa ikakhulu omama njalo ubike ukuba esigabeni sakhe uleziqinti eziyisithupha kodwa ke ezilezivande zimbili kuphela. Ucele ukuphathiswa esigabeni ukuze iziqinti zonke zifinyelele ukuthola lezinhlelo zabomama, ogogo kanye lamantombazane asakhulayo.
